The Association of International Bank Audit and Compliance Professionals Inc. (AIBACP) was founded in 1992 as a not-for-profit trade association to bring together internal auditors from non-U.S. based international banks. In 2013 the AIBA’s legal name was changed to the Association of International Bank Audit and Compliance Professionals Inc. in order to recognize compliance professionals in its expanding membership base.
Members are employed primarily by many U.S. offices (e.g., Branches, Agencies and Representative Offices) and subsidiaries of internationally based financial services organizations. The AIBACP’s mission is to enhance members’ knowledge and skills relating to audit, compliance and internal control with respect to U.S. activities of foreign banks.
In 2011 the AIBACP collaborated with Pace University’s Lubin School of Business to offer the Certified Compliance and Regulatory Professional (CCRP®) program.
The AIBACP provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences that enhance members’ effectiveness, and an informal network for members to learn from others engaged in similar activities, third-party industry providers, subject matter experts, consultants, and regulatory officials.
Our association is more than ever focused on delivering value to you.
- The AIBACP is the forum of choice for FBO’s 2nd and 3rd line functions to discuss the latest and emerging topics tailored to you and your organization.
- For 2025 and beyond the AIBACP is revitalizing its mission and purpose to better serve the FBO community (from small to large) with thought leadership, leading edge content, continuing education, and networking opportunities. We bring regulators, leading practitioners from FBOs/ banks and other industry professionals to share their insights on topics fully dedicated to them and their unique challenges and opportunities in an evolving environment at a historically low cost per CPE hour.
- We strongly encourage member participation with the ability to network and benchmark industry practices and will be introducing focus group discussions, roundtables, and other more interactive formats to spur collaboration and idea sharing. Additional volunteering opportunities will enable members to build leadership skills and make a positive impact to the FBO community and beyond.
We appreciate your on-going support and are always happy to engage with you. To renew your membership or sign up for 2025, please visit our website at: https://www.aiba-us.org
