How do you develop and implement a best-in-class compliance program at your institution? In times of uncertainty, it becomes vitally important to assess your compliance risk environment, identify key resources, and ensure that you have the support of senior stakeholders to effectively implement compliance controls. We invite you to partake in this insightful session as Marina Adams, Compliance and Ethics Director at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York shares her expert perspective on this important topic.
Ms. Adams has responsibility over managing key aspects of the NY Fed’s internal compliance program, including sensitive data and records and information management. She was instrumental in creating a compliance program at the Fed in 2005, including the establishment of AML, sanctions, privacy, compliance risk assessment and other compliance programmatic initiatives. From the creation of risk identification and assessment frameworks to the establishment of policies, procedures, training and senior stakeholder reporting, Marina has implemented multiple compliance programs at the NY Fed during her 20-year tenure. Her participation on the NY Fed’s Insider Risk Management Group and Risk Workgroup, and leadership on the Steering Group for the Federal Compliance Working Group, coupled with a decade as in house counsel at the NY Fed, have positioned her as a thought leader on compliance risk at financial institutions.
